Backyard Soccer is a series in the Backyard Sports franchise, developed and published by Atari. It was first released in 1998 for the PC and Mac and was released for the PlayStation in 2001.

[edit] Synopsis

You start by picking a team and players, Your team begins in "B" Division (the lowest level). If your team is good enough, it will be invited to the "Off-The-Wall" Indoor Invitational, an indoor soccer tournament consisting of 8 teams. If your team performs well enough, It will win the "B" Division and advance to the "A" Division (the second highest level). If your team wins that, they advance to the Premiership (otherwise known as "Premier" Division). If your team performs well in the Premier Division, it will get invited to the "Astonishingly Shiny Cup of All Cups Cup" tournament (a spoof of the World Cup Games).

  • This is the first game in the Backyard Sports series where you can see the players in their common appearaces, which is different than Backyard Baseball.
