Back in Town is George Carlin's tenth HBO special. It dates back to 1996 and it follows his previous special 40 Years of Comedy, which was recorded earlier that year. This was also perhaps his first of many performances at the Beacon Theater in New York City. Back In Town was converted to CD on September 17, 1996 and it targeted everything from abortion to capital punishment to "cultural infractions" and more.
