The Church's Back With Two Beasts is supposedly another in their series of "jam" albums promised to fans via their [official website] yet there are songs here that are completed and left many fans scratching their heads as to why this is not considered an album proper by Kilbey & Co.

Staring with the etheral Snowfaller the album signifies that the listener is not in for another jam album ala 1998's bonus Hologram of Baal or 2004's Jammed. Pantechnicon uses a vocal distorter to alter Kilbey's voice to chilling effect and is a standout track.

Pearls is a tune that would fit alongside their best singles and many question whether or not these gems will see the light of day worldwide considering that like the b-sides compilation Beside Yourself, this album is limited to mostly Church Merch as well as their live appearance where rare and hard to find albums are available for sale at the venues.

the "jam" aspect of the album can be found in the epic length Night Sequence which is representative of the bands sonic experimentations.
