Bachrach Studios began in 1868 and is the oldest photographic studio still in operation. The studio's founder took the only photo of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. The studio has photographed every US Head of State since then. The founder made it a goal to photograph all the important people he could. He sought and received permission to photographsuch notables as Charles Lindbergh and Calvin Coolidge. Others he photographed include Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Eleanor Roosevelt and Muhammad Ali. The company remains a family business.
