Bachelor Girl is an Australian band comprising of James Roche as writer/instrumentalist and Tania Doko as lead vocalist. Their debut single "Buses and Trains" was an international hit, but subsequent releases have only impacted Australian charts.
The band started when James Roche heard Doko singing at a pub in Melbourne. Many of their songs are depictions of life as a young single female, though ironically the lyrics are penned by Roche.
They won ARIA Awards in 1998 and 1999.
