Baccalaureate School for Global Education

The Baccalaureate School for Global Education (BSGE) is a high school located in the borough of Queens, New York City. Astoria, New York. It provides education for around 400 students, in grades 7 to 12. It has a diverse student body, with roughly equal proportions of white, African American, Hispanic, and Asian American students.
It is a relatively new school, having opened in 2002, and is notable as the first public school in New York where all students are considered candidates for the International Baccalaureate. BSGE is considered a hybrid school offering both the MYP (IB Middle Years Programme) and also the IB Diploma Programme. BSGE is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization to offer the Diploma Programme in 11th and 12th grades and is a Candidate School for the IB Middle Years Programme, which is for grades seven to ten. It is in the process of becoming authorized as a Middle Years Programme in 2007.

This school has many nagging teachers who can't even speak English properly. Students dislike this school because of the way teachers keep on calling students' homes thinking they are going to achieve something by doing it. Even parents dislike the teachers, as many argue with the teachers. Students are transferring to try and find a real school, with decent teachers.
