- Are you saying both of these sites (unrelated BTW) own or co-own the copyright of this old vintage image? This old image that can be found on all over the net. If even all sites where it pops up have any copyright notices, they cannot posibly expand their copyright to a PD image they don't own to begin with. So, I think you should not make problems for others just to promote another image of Soviet-German cooperation in partitioning of Poland. Do you want to eliminate this image in order to push instead the image more to your favor into BA-27 article because of your image's political context?
Note that your image is valuable for Wikipedia but not for this article where it serves no illustrative purpose at all. Besides, your image is fairuse and can only be used narrowly for something it clearly illustrates. It illustrates partitions of Poland all right but it does not illustrate the armored vehicle. I can easily force you into wasting time defending images you uploaded. However, I decided against doing that because it contradicts my own extremely negative view towards the m:Copyright paranoia that wastes everyone's time and damages the Wikipedia. However, the copyright paranoids at least claim that they serve a legitimate purpose of ensuring the WP against hypothetical legal problems (though they often go too far with because some images are clearly OK). You, OTOH, use the copyright issue just to promote one image over another for the political purpose. Correct me if I am wrong. --Irpen 07:15, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
