B5 is an American R&B boy band originating from St. Petersburg, Florida. [citation needed] They are of Caucasian and African-American descent. [citation needed] Like The Jackson 5, B5 takes its name from Breeding 5, the last name of the five brothers. B5 consists of Dustin Breeding, Kelly Breeding, Patrick Breeding, Carnell Breeding, and Bryan Breeding. When not on tour, they live with their mother in Atlanta, Georgia.

B5 is managed by Jim McMahon of JAMM Entertainment Group. Through Jim McMahan's help and determination, B5 landed an audition that eventually got them signed to Diddy's Bad Boy Records.

Since signing a record deal, B5 has performed with Mario Winans, Kanye West, Ginuwine, Usher, Fantasia, and Fat Joe. On April 27, 2006, B5 joined Bow Wow on his Wanted Tour, which featured T-Pain, Ray-J and others. The tour ended on May 28, 2006. In 2005, they also headlined Radio Disney's Jingle Jam Tour.

B5 is working on their second album, which should be released in April 2007. The album's first single should be released late 2006. They are reported to be working with such producers as Pharrell, Pooh Bear, Scott Storch, Andrew Lane, and Eddie Galan.
