[edit] Unfree onion

{{User Onion}} used an un-free image, namely the logo of The Onion. You're not supposed to use those in userboxes or other templates according to Wikipedia:Fair use criteria. Yet when Zscout370 called you on this mistake and replaced the un-free image, you went ahead and reverted. --Damian Yerrick 21:41, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your Userpage

The user 209.106.168.1 recently made 3 edits to your userpage, all of a malicious nature. I have reverted the offending edits. Please feel free to remove this message at any time. The Neokid Talk 19:07, 19 January 2006 (UTC)

P.S. This appears to have continued. I will make sure the user is blocked.

[edit] Your userboxes

Because of the current campaign against userboxes, it's pretty likely that many of your boxes are going to get deleted from their template space soon (especially your Flying Spaghetti Monsterism box and any political boxes, but in general, any boxes that could be considered to express a point of view someone might disagree with). These templates will very likely be deleted in the next week or two. The best (and really, only) way to protect those userboxes is to perform a "substitute" command on each one of them, which will put the code directly into your page, instead of calling on the template every time your page is loaded. That way, when the template is deleted, it has no effect on the code resident on your page.

In order to do this, go into your user page, and wherever you have a template, insert "subst" inside the brackets. So,

{{template name}} becomes {{subst:template name}}

and your userboxes will all take up residence on your page. Sometimes this makes the formatting funky, and will require some tweaking in the code to restore the layout of your boxes as they were before. If you have any questions about this, please drop me a line. Regards, JDoorjam Talk 23:11, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
