B3105 road

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The B3105 is a road in Wiltshire, UK. It is built to link the industrial estates at Hilperton to Bath and the motorway. It is also able to handle heavier vehicles than the A363 bridge in Bradford-on-Avon. This means it is used for HGV's from the M4, M5 and Bath as an alternative route to Trowbridge and Westbury.

[edit] Route

The B3105 starts at a give way junction with the A363, one mile North of Bradford-on-Avon. It then descends a gently sloping hill towards the Avon Valley. It has a crossroads with the B3109, where the B3109 gives way. The road then passes through the hamlet of Woolley Green. It multiplexes with the B3107, Bradford-on-Avon to Melksham road for about 50 yards.

At Staverton, the B3105 crosses the Avon on a traffic lighted bridge. The road then passes through the villages of Staverton and Hilperton, terminating at a roundabout with the A361, one mile North East of Trowbridge.
