B.P. Empire is the third album by Israeli Psychedelic Trance duo Infected Mushroom, released in May 2001 on Yoyo Records. This album represented a big change in the sound and the style of Infected Mushroom, and has influences of industrial and ambient music. An example is the mini-suite "Dancing with Kadafi", which mixes rhythms from all over the world. This album was heavily criticized by trance purists, who considered Infected Mushroom to be a group focusing exclusively on psytrance. Although Infected Mushroom still has its main goals in psychedelic trance, it has also progressed into experimental and industrial genres in recent years.
