[edit] B-Fighters

The next generation of B-Fighters.

  • Kouhei Toba (Toba Kōhei) / B-Fighter Kabuto (Bī Faitā Kabuto): A college student dragged into the fight. A star athlete. Kouhei is a very courageous fighter, although he sometimes impetiously leaps into a fight. He lives alone with his younger sister Yui, whom he cares for a lot. As Kabuto, Kouhei dons armor modeled after a rhinoceros beetle. Kabuto is the only B-Fighter who can wield the Astral Saber to become one with and gain control of the giant robot, Kabuterios.
  • Kengo Tachibana (Tachibana Kengo) / B-Fighter Kuwaga (Bī Faitā Kuwaga): A serious student who takes his role as a B-Fighter seriously. He originally had no respect for Kouhei because Kouhei was chosen to become Kabuto instead of himself and Kouhei was younger tham him, although they eventually became friends. As Kuwaga, Kengo dons armor modeled after a stag beetle. At the end of the series, Kuwaga is able to wield the Geist Axe and take control of the giant robot, Kuwaga Titan, which was formerly being used by Death Scorpion for evil but was not actually evil.
  • Ran Ayukawa (Ayukawa Ran) / B-Fighter Tentou (Bī Faitā Tento): A computer expert, who sometimes thinks too much about the mechanical side of things and ignores the natural side. She had feelings for Julio when he taught her to appreciate nature. Ran loves to eat and is skilled at playing the shamisen, a stringed Japanese instrument. As Tentou, Ran's armor is modeled after a ladybug.

  • Mac Windy / B-Fighter Yanma (Bī Faitā Yanma) (28-50): The Warrior of Wind. From the New York branch of Cosmo Academia, Mac is a very outgoing man, flirting with Japanese girls at every chance and pigging out on sushi. He blurts out things in English. He was chosen by the Dragonfly Medal to become Yanma, whose armor is modeled after a dragonfly.
  • Julio Rivera / B-Fighter Genji (Bī Faitā Genji) (30-50): The Warrior of Light. Peruvian agent from the South American Cosmo Academia branch, Julio is a nature-loving man. He played a reed flute which he gave to Ran as a memento of their time together. He was chosen by the Firefly Medal to become Genji, whose armor is modeled after a firefly.
  • Li Wen / B-Fighter Min (Bī Faitā Min) (31-50): The Warrior of Sound. From the Peking branch of Cosmo Academia, Wen loves children and often puts on magic shows in parks for children to see, and is also a very good cook. He is a very peaceful man who hates the fight between the B-Fighters and Melzard, and at first refused to cooperate when he obtained the Cicada Medal. However, Kengo made him realize that the B-Fighters fight in order to stop the fighting, and so he agreed to help as Min, whose armor is modeled after a cicada.
  • Sophie Villeneuve / B-Fighter Ageha (Bī Faitā Ageha) (32-50): The Warrior of Flowers. From the Paris branch of Cosmo Academia, Sophie Villeneuve is a genius violinist. She is in love with Kouhei, and her song is what was able to awaken the Astral Saber from its sleep. She was chosen by the Butterfly Medal to become Ageha, whose armor is modeled after a butterfly.

[edit] Allies

  • Yui Toba: Kouhei's younger sister and his self-proclaimed manager, covering for him when he has to leave school to fight off Melzard. She is in love with Kengo.
  • Professor Osanai
  • Insect Elder Guru (1, 46): The one who gave the original B-Fighter their powers. Though he's aged, he is still able to help the B-Fighter in their times of need as he has extensive knowledge of the Melzard. Guru died trying to protect the insects of the world from the "Dark Wave Motion" power of Dargriffon. He was buried in the cave where Takuya first found him.
  • Kabuto (46): Guru's son who left his father a hundred years ago and has been travelling across the dimensions as a supplier of weapons and equipment. He returned to Earth to visit his mother's grave, bringing with him the Beet Ingram to give to Takuya Kai the Blue Beet years ago. When his father Guru died, he returned once more to visit his fathers grave.

[edit] Arsenal

  • Evil Shell God Kuwaga Titan (Jakōjin Kuwaga Taitan): Kuwaga Titan is a green and black robot that can become a mechanical stag beetle. It stays inside the Geist Axe until someone calls it forth, and was originally controlled by Deathcorpion and used for evil. Kuwaga Titan can fire a blast of energy, the Titanic Flare; or a blast of lightning from its antennae, the Titanic Thunder.

[edit] Melzard Tribe

An ancient race that have existed since prehistotric times. They dwell in the fortress Melzardis.

  • Mother Melzard: The leader of Melzard, whose members she gave birth to by eating a fossil with one of her tendrils and spitting it back out an egg which instantly hatches into a Melzard creature. When the B-Fighters entered her fortress, she fought them personally until she was mortally wounded by Kabuto. But using the energy of the Earth, Mother Melzard evolved into a larger monster and gained a new form. She was killed by Kabuterios & Kuwaga Titan.
  • Dinosaur Warrior Raija (Kyouryuu Senshi Raija) (1-27) / Driceraija (36-50): A powerful warrior with red Ceratopsia-like armor, he commands the Melzard monsters based on land-dwelling creatures. Raija constantly fights with his younger brother Dezzle, both of them each trying to outdo the other. He was seemingly killed by Kabuto but his body turned to stone and later he returned, revived by Mother Melzard in a new maroon armored form, empowered by the magma deep within the earth. He died at Kabuto's hands during the finale.
  • Insect Swordswoman Miorla (Konchuu Kenshi Miorra): Raija's assistant, a female warrior with light green insectoid armor and two red swords. When Raija was seemingly killed, she stayed by his petrified body until he awakened.
  • Deep-Sea Fish Man Dezzle (Deepsea Gyojin Dezuru) (1-31) / Dezzle the Great (31) / "Dezzle?" (36-50): Dezzle is Raija's younger brother and wears an elaborate blue costume with fins and a fishlike helmet. He commands the monsters based on water-dwelling creatures and he is the one to often actively sabotages Raija's plans. After his brother is killed, Dezzle gains power from Mother Melzard and becomes Dezzle the Great, but is defeated by the Input Rifle, with only his head remaining. Dord placed Dezzle's head in a tank and Dezzle was later resureected by Mother Melzard in a new, mysterious form. His new form, given power by the darkness of the deep sea, had no torso and a white mask which kept his face hidden. He died during the finale.
  • Rock Chamberlain Dord: Dezzle's lacky, a squat creature whose head resembles an ammonite fossil. Dord looked after Dezzle's head after he was blown to pieces, and remained his loyal protector, until Dezzle returned in his new form.
The B-Crushers
The B-Crushers
  • B-Crushers (28-50): When Mother Melzard ingested 4 of the 8 insect medals, she gave birth to 4 armored fighters, the B-Crushers to counter the B-Fighters.
    • Deadly Poison Armored General Death Scorpion (Moudoku Gaishou Des Corpion): The leader of the B-Crushers, his armor was modeled after a scorpion, and is an honorable warrior by nature. Unlike his fellow B-Crushers, he prefers to fight fair and has a true warrior's spirit. He originally wielded the Geist Axe until Kuwaga took it from him when he died.
    • Cold-Blooded Armored General Mukadelinger (Reiketsu Gaishou Mukanderingaa): The polar opposite of Death Scorpion, his armor was modeled after a centipede. He can control ordinary humans by placing the centipede legs from his armor on their necks and mentally transmitting commands to them.
