Bürgerrechtsbewegung Solidarität
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Civil Rights Movement Solidarity ("Bürgerrechtsbewegung Solidarität"; BüSo for short) is a German political party founded by Helga Zepp-LaRouche, wife of controversial United States politician Lyndon LaRouche. It is the German affiliate of the international LaRouche Movement. The party is leading the fight for the sovereign nation-state in Germany. The current candidate for mayor of Berlin, Daniel Buchmann, proposes the creation of 1 million new industrial jobs for Berlin through state investment.
Critics declare the party as Politsekte("political sect") or Psychogruppe("Psycho group").That got clear through the glorification of Lyndon LaRouche or the end-time prophecy about the collapse of the global financial system, they say. Among these critics are the German government and so called "sect commissioners",appointed by the church.
The party is also under suspicion of being far-right and antisemitic, though the Verfassungsschutz stopped the observation during the 80's.Nevertheless the party seems to be attractive for right-wing voters. It is actually not easy to place the BüSo in a political spectrum.
[edit] History
The Büso was founded in 1992.The forerunners were the Europäische Arbeiter-Partei("European worker's party") and the since the early 80's existing party Patrioten für Deutschland("Patriots for Germany").
The party isn't very significant in the political landscape of Germany, but the number of voters increased at the last federal elections in 2005,although it started in only 7 of the 16 States.
