Bülent Eczacıbaşı

Bülent Eczacıbaşı (1949) is a Turkish billionaire businessman in pharmaceuticals.
He was born in 1949 in İstanbul, Turkey as the son of Nejat Eczacıbaşı, the founder of Eczacıbaşı Holding. After finishing the high school at Deutsche Schule in İstanbul, he was educated at University of London, United Kingdom. Later, he earned a Master’s degree in chemistry engineering from MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
Returned home in 1974, he worked at various positions in family owned companies. Currently, he is the chairman of Eczacıbaşı Holding.
Between 1991-1993, he was the chairman of the prestigious Association of Turkish Businesspeople (TÜSİAD). In 2003, Bülent Eczacıbaşı was elected honorary chairman of the association.
Bülent Eczacıbaşı is a member of İstanbul Rotary Club.
