Azra Erhat

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Azra Erhat was a Turkish authoress, archaeologist, academician and translator (notably of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey which are admitted to be the references in the Turkish language for these works). Together with Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı (alias "The Fisherman of Halicarnassus") and Sabahattin Eyüboğlu, he is also in the origin of the literary and touristic term, "the Blue Cruise" ("Mavi Yolculuk" in Turkish)
