Az-Zahir Ali Hakim (born June 3, 1977 in Los Angeles, California) is an American football wide receiver free agent in the NFL. He was originally selected in the fourth round of the 1998 NFL Draft out of San Diego State University by the St. Louis Rams. He has also played for the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions.

Hakim was an All-City selection as a quarterback, wide receiver, and defensive back at Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, where he also played basketball and ran track.
As a senior at San Diego State, Hakim caught 37 passes for 595 yards (16.1 yards per rec.).
Drafted 96th overall by the Rams in the 1998, Hakim spent four season playing in St. Louis, did not start, but still received playing time, appearing in two Super Bowls, winning one (Super Bowl XXXIV against the Tennessee Titans). Selected to the Pro Bowl in 2000 for special teams. After being signed by the Lions as an unrestricted free agent, Hakim started all but two games of the 2002 and 2003 seasons. In the 2004 season, Hakim did not get as much playing time due to injury, but still managed to score three receiving touchdowns. In 2005 he signed with the Saints.
Hakim announced his retirement from football in 2006 and then un-retired and re-signed with the Lions.
On the 30th of October, 2006, just months after re-signing him, the Detroit Lions released Hakim.
