Ayoola Erinle

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ayoola Erinle (born February 20, 1980 in Lagos, Nigeria) is an England international rugby union player currently with London Wasps.

A big, strong and a powerful runner, Erinle is probably one of the biggest centres in the Guinness Premiership. Having represented England at Sevens, he burst onto the fifteens scene in a big way in 2003/4, scoring some electric tries and challenging closely for top try scorer before his exploits were recognised with selection for the England squad who travelled to the Churchill Cup in summer 2005.

If Erinle, or ‘Oogie’ to his friends, hadn’t been a professional rugby player, he might have moved into science-based career, having attained A’s in A Level Physics and Chemistry. In October 2003, Erinle appeared three times as a contestant on British game show Countdown.
