[edit] Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy XIII
Perhaps the mishappen translation was on purpose similiar to blizzrad. Now you've got the folks at Square-Enix banging there heads up and down on the desk saying how did we mess that up? Yoshitaka Amano you are going to have to redraw that logo art to something slightly smaller as to fit to the correct Latin phrase in the title.--WhiteMateria 04:57, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Category:Legend of Zelda Places
Hi. Can you tell me why you removed the CfM tags from Category:Legend of Zelda places and Category:The Legend of Zelda places? The discussion about them is still open at CfD. Thanks. Road Wizard 23:26, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, reverting them would be the best option. Thanks. (I will see if I can find a way to alter the link on the template, if not I will put a manual link in beneath it). Road Wizard 23:39, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for reverting your changes. I wasn't able to alter the template, so I added a manual link to each of the category pages. I will need to remember to check the links are still working after a discussion is relisted in future. Thanks again. Road Wizard 00:14, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hmm.
Hmm. You make me feel bad because you're actually working on stuff. - Grondring 18:44, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, pretty much the only reason I made an account is so I could correct any misspellings or grammar atrocities that particularly irritated me. - Grondring 19:24, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Legend of Zelda Categories
Hi. I noticed that you have taken part in the recent discussion about the future of the Legend of Zelda categories. I am just leaving this note to let you know that Proposal 1 (merging all game sub-categories) has been successful, and I will be relisting it at CfD later today. Of the renaming proposals, only option 7 appears to have gained a consensus in support. However, I am going to leave that discussion open a few more days as we have had a related proposal (No. 11) that has not yet been discussed. Please use this time to consider whether you wish to support or oppose the new proposal, or in any way change your previous votes. I will be reassessing the situation at about 18:00, 6 July 2006 (UTC). Road Wizard 20:29, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] User:Randall Brackett/Test
I've made a slight redesign on the uniform Template:General CVG character. I've stated reasoning on the WP:CVG talkpage. Any comments on the new design would be appreciated. -Randall Brackett 07:55, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Final Fantasy bestiary
Just a heads up: I've reverted your move of Final Fantasy bestiary to Bestiary of creatures in the Final Fantasy series. The original naming of the article is in accordance with the naming conventions of the Final Fantasy WikiProject, which chooses to disambiguate individual game titles over series title: "Final Fantasy" refers to the series, whereas "Final Fantasy (video game)" refers to the first installment thereof. The discussion you cited in support of the move dealt specifically with articles related to The Legend of Zelda, and did not support the claim that "it's necessary to denote that Final Fantasy is a series," in any case: the discussion concerned two redundant categories of Zelda articles, and was unique to that particular situation. You are free to bring up your case in a venue where regular editors of Final Fantasy-related articles can weigh in on the matter (such as the wikiproject talk page, or Talk:Final Fantasy bestiary). – Sean Daugherty (talk) 04:36, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- On a related note, could you please visit Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Final Fantasy#Page renames to join in a discussion about these moves? Sorry I didn't notify you about the discussion earlier. Thank you! -RaCha'ar 06:01, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Koichi Yamadera
"(cur) (last) 22:03, 29 July 2006 Axem Titanium (Talk | contribs | block) m (moved Koichi Yamadera to Kōichi Yamadera: Per WP:MOS-JA, which says to use macrons.)"
That's not true. Read the Wikipedia:Manual of Style for Japan-related articles a little more closely. There is a section about people naming. WhisperToMe 18:38, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
"Macron usage in the name of a modern figure should adhere to the following, in order of preference:
1. Use the official trade name if available in English/Latin alphabet; 2. Use the form found in a dictionary entry from a generally-accepted English dictionary; 3. Use the form publicly used on behalf of the person in the English-speaking world; 4. Use the form publicly used on behalf of the person in any other popular Latin-alphabet-using language (French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, and Dutch, or variations); or 5. If none of the above is available, use the macronned form."

[edit] double redirects
Hi, Axem. When you moved List of Kingdom Hearts terms to List of terms from the Kingdom Hearts series a couple of days ago, it looks like you left a number of double redirects in place. I can work on fixing them, but I don't have the time right now; you may want to take a look and see about fixing what you can. Thanks! Powers 14:28, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
- Heh, it was easier than I thought. I fixed all of the redirects that had links to them, but there a bunch of others without current links that still need to be fixed. I should get to them eventually if you don't beat me to it. =) Powers 14:32, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Kingdom Hearts Voice Cast
I don't think I have anything further to discuss until more members are able to weigh in on the situation, which doesn't seem to be happening any time soon unfortunatly... Marty Donakowski 22:23, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
- I just noticed that it was removed by the user you had quoted, since there's a 2:1 majority (and unlikely to change), I'll accept the change. I think it would be best to organize the voice actors into a table such as the one you started at User:Axem_Titanium/Kingdom_Hearts_voice_cast in List of characters in the Kingdom Hearts series Marty Donakowski 22:37, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Heartless War
Why deleted the article? Then I have play the game finish (then the come) so can I improve the article. Thanks Killerman2 17:39, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
You want at I going to improve the article. I hade a question about the war. If you answer so can I improve the article a little then you afterall play the game. So hear are the question: collaborate MCP with the Organization XIII to bring the Heartless to Hollow Bastion? Killerman2 19:10, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Small suggestion
"uhh, no" isn't a particularly good edit summary for altering things on Kingdom Hearts or elsewhere. Please see Help:Edit_summary for better ways of summarizing. Thank you. Marty Donakowski 05:13, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
In addition, you need to be more careful when reverting vandalism on talk pages--you reverted a legitimate part of the discussion. -Mance 01:40, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks
I appreciate the congrats. Hibana — our resident Johnny on the spot — has already gotten the star taken care of. XD
By the way, I absolutely love that "spoiler warning" on your user page. That's better than the quotes at the top of mine. Ryu Kaze 02:11, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- Ha, nice of you to refer to me that way, but I probably don't deserve the title. Anyway, I will add some advice that I have found useful, since you asked:
- Don't sleep
- Don't eat
- Research like mad. Think of it this way, before you do anything else: if you don't have sources to cite, then there's no point starting. You'll save yourself a lot of wasted time if you make sure you've got everything you need to build an article with from the beginning
- Start with the real world sections first, such as Reception or Development. I usually start at the Reception section and then work my way through the other real world sections before finally doing the plot-related stuff. I find that it helps you keep yourself grounded in thinking in terms of applying the article's subject matter to the real world. Also, I personally think it's more interesting. For me, the hardest part of writing an article is working on the plot-related stuff. I mean, I already know the story. Writing about it is hardly a joyride to me, especially when it's bogged down in as many details as one like Final Fantasy VII's. I personally find information about how critics responded and about what kind of ideas went into making the game a whole lot more interesting to work on
- Do the lead last. By then, you've already done everything else, and you know exactly how the article needs to be summarized
- Keep the process the images went through on this FAC in mind. While I, at first, was annoyed with User:Angr's extensive analysis of these things, I've begun to realize that somebody had to do it, and that it really helps ensure that the images we do use are all the more valuable for meeting some really sensible criteria, such as notability, or what they help convey that text alone might not be able to
- Take breaks when you need them. I can't stress this enough. You don't have to do an entire 90-100kb article in two and a half days like I did. That was nuts. I don't know why I did it. I blame... I don't know who I blame. But it was nuts. Don't do that. When you start feeling burned out, walk away from it for a little while, maybe just a couple of hours. I promise you the work will benefit from it. Don't hound yourself to death, and don't force yourself to get an article to FA so fast. Normally, this process is supposed to take weeks. Sometimes it takes people months. Really, what Deckiller and I have done with all our work is unnatural. You don't have to do that. Just keep it in mind. Find the pace you work best at and just conduct yourself at that pace alone. Don't try to beat us or tie us or anything like that. You'll do your best when you're feeling comfortable. The ironic aspect of this advice I'm giving you is that, for me, I do work best under rapid conditions, for whatever reason. But find your own comfort level and stay in it
- Get as much feedback as you can, especially from editors you trust or respect. However, try to be open to the advice of even those people who cause you to think "Where'd the hell they come from?" while making an entrance accompanied by an edit that you might not have liked. This one's hard. But it's a good idea. One of the worst things that can happen while making an article is to say something you regret. If you do it, just remember that it happens to all of us I've done it plenty of times. Always remember to apologize when it happens, though. This is very important (I won't say why. It might be important to you for a different reason than it is me, but I promise that it's important)
- Don't be afraid to be bold when you have to be. Don't even be afraid to disregard any or all of this advice. Do what you have to do
- Remember to thank everybody you owe a thanks to, even the people who annoyed you or altogether pissed you off. Especially if they actually managed to contribute on some level. Go out of your way to thank them if you have to. I can't stress this one enough. It's one of the most important, and is the only bit of advice I suggest never disregarding
- I hope some of this helps you out. Good luck, future FA god. Ryu Kaze 02:35, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
-
- You're welcome. You heard pretty much right. I'll still drop by to check the daily edits, probably, but I won't be making any focused effort like what we've seen lately again for a while. I'm going to be really busy for quite some time, I'm afraid. Hopefully you and the others will get the chance. I'm sure things are in good hands. Ryu Kaze 02:46, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Armads
You are stating that it is a game guide, when in fact it is clearly not.
Before attempting to redirect the article again, please explain on the talk page the reason for this redirect, as there has been no consensus reached (Crats don't make people sysops because they feel like it, do they?)
Thanks, SoaP 20:14, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
I would greatly appreciate your help in expanding the article. Thanks. SoaP 20:28, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- But no! You couldn't just help me! Or even put a {{cvg-stub}} on it! I ask you for help and I get my article ruined and slapped for 3RR! Aaaaaargh! SoaP 20:29, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
Well...you've smacked me good with your 3RR. You've declined the mediation request. You've done pretty much everything short of smacked me in the face with a glove (which I suspect is next). I've been pwn4g3d.
So...all that's left is cooperation.
I see you're a Fire Emblem fan, as am I. Perhaps we could work together on the Armads article? Tell me what you think. SoaP 23:05, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] SoundPound500000
- Sorry. I'm just a little off. First I had finished an article listing all of the Limits in the games but it was deleted and it took me a while to make the Roxas article (I even had to open two windows and it takes a little out of my computer), but I don't even know what merging articles mean. I just feel like kicking the crud out of myself for what I put down.P.S. I thought Wikipedia had to give tons of info, don't you think people would like to know more about this stuff. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by SoundPound500000 (talk • contribs).

[edit] FFVII chars
Unfortunately now that Dirge of Cerberus is out, the "importance" of those characters may rise to the point that leaving them out of the TOC is inappropriate. Not a big deal, but something to consider? - BalthCat 22:08, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] CVG release dates
Thanks for the comments regarding my edits on infobox release dates. I also finally read the official position in WP:CVG#Release_dates, but I'm still getting reverts on me changing full release dates to observe date display preferences. That's one of my pet peeves of Wikipedia. No offense meant, it's just that I try to make it globally friendly. :) Alex 23:29, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Forum posts as sources
They're generally considered not reliable because you don't know who's claiming to be a trustworthy source. This board is linked from Atlus' site, and VyersLives is an administrator at the site. Was the only active admin. So it's easy to say that he's an employee for Atlus. --Raijinili 20:09, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- We know that VyersLives is an employee of Atlus, and thus he's a first-person source. The first rule about knowing is because of people CLAIMING to be "in the know". Are you denying that he's an employee? The second rule doesn't apply to first-person sources (which should be obvious). You would have to claim that he's not a first-person source. --Raijinili 21:49, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
- Can SOMEONE explain to me why a game that's already sent out final copies is still considered to be "under development"? --Raijinili 04:18, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- I made two posts. Look up. Also, you reverted my removal of the "Future Game" template, so I assumed you had a reason. --Raijinili 04:33, 31 October 2006 (UTC)
- You still haven't responded to me about this, and yet you reverted another edit on the matter. --Raijinili 17:47, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your Stance on Spoilers
Hello, I'm just here concerning your stance on spoilers in your Userboxes section. While I agree with you that spoilers are not needed in a section that clearly talks about plot and so on... I'm not sure if I'd call it a form of censorship. I'd personally call it being redundant as a section on plot implies in itself that it will be about the plot, therefore anyone who does not want to have the story spoiled for them should direct their attention elsewhere.--Kuribo 19:05, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- I was just wondering about that too, if "Wikipedia is not censored" is an argument for removing spoiler warnings (tags or something), why is there such a tag (or something) at all? If it's censorship, wouldn't it always be? Ville V. Kokko 08:22, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] RE: Your "selective revision" to FFXII at 23:09 on 11/02/06
I agree with your reverting the Clan Report, my version was just to add more in-game information for the US version. I don't agree with your revert to the renaming wars dialogue. I had added that back before an official instruction manual or strat guide was released, and people were constantly changing player names. Now that there are official documents, I believe that section that I originally added is not necessary. --WW79 14:33, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] FFXII External Links
Hello,
You keep removing ffxii.us and ff12-europe.com and instead post up a poor fansite (final-fantasy-12.net). You tell others to quit adding fansites, yet you keep doing so yourself. Also, you or someone else removed ffxii.us when it shouldn't have been done in the first place--it was already approved/posted as an external link for over a year now! Please quit removing it when there is no reason to do so.
Thanks. Pikachu123 02:06, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- It has nothing to do with promoting a site more than contributing to the article (the two sites aren't even mine). What it has to do with is the fact that after a year+ of being an external link, you and a couple others suddenly think it's just "ok" to go ahead and remove it.
- Pikachu123 02:21, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- You may not feel they are helpful, but that is your opinion. I, for one, think that both sites are. They have weapon charts, lyrics, maps, locations, media, etc. That stuff is not on the Wiki article for the game and thus, the sites are helpful. Besides, who are you to take it upon yourself to overturn what was already decided as helpful by the Wiki community? Do you have nothing better to do? Honestly? Threaten if you wish, but they mean nothing.
- Pikachu123 05:02, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
- Why make another topic about it in the Talk/Discussion area when it was already done and approved in the past? Nothing has changed. You may think they are no longer useful, but what about the things I mentioned to you in my last message? You honestly don't find those things helpful/nice to have readily available? Come on, now.

[edit] Fire Emblem External Links
It is not link spam. Fire Emblem World is indeed an extremely informative site on the issue of Fire Emblem. It is also a massive community and a larger site than any other Fire Emblem site. I am in no way an owner of the site and neither are all the other people who want to see it on the external links. It is just an excellent site and is what people are looking for when they check the external links of Wikipedia.
As for member "Thunk", he is a disgruntled ex-member who was banned from the site for excessive bad behavior. He wants to see it taken off out of spite, nothing more.
Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 222.123.32.123 (talk • contribs).
Yes. Indeed. Fire Emblem World has larger forums, a game, and other features that the Documentary does not. So your point is invalid, and you are, in fact, vandilising whenever you remove it from the list of external links. Thanks! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 222.123.32.123 (talk • contribs).
I have given other reasons as well. Game and various other features. The reason I'm still talking here is because you act as if you're the authority here. You're not. Your continuous deletion is vandalism. This is a warning for you to stop. :) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 222.123.32.123 (talk • contribs).
You have no significance whatsoever. Your opinion and the opinon of another member with a pathetic grudge don't matter. Especially when this link has been added by six different people in the past. Your opinions on a useful site are hardly important at all as it is. But when six other people disagree, then you should quiet yourself and stop removing it. Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 222.123.32.123 (talk • contribs).

[edit] Keyblade article
Hey... umm... I was just wondering why you redirected the Keyblade article to the Kingdom Hearts article. It took me a good long while to write it (especially since I'm not an English native speaker) and I kind of liked it the way it was. Personally I didn't think that it is superfluous at all. [edit] Fiction & LoPbN
Thanks for you interest in LoPbN. However, among all the principles of its construction, perhaps the most fundamental is that the list is "chartered" as a list of biographies of real people. While there are borderline cases because of uncertainty (Old King Cole comes to mind), virtually all fictional characters are clearly distinguishable from historical ones, even where romans a clef are concerned. I've occasionally expressed opinions on lk'g from articles on surnames to pages in the LoPbN tree (or more often sections of them), but for this purpose, my position is simply to maintain the status quo on Hamilton and let others work out the details of what belongs there and where, other than LoPbN the rest should go. Thus i'm reverting both the relevant edits to those to pages. Hope something else works out.
--Jerzy•t 05:30, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
We seem united in ignorance [smile]. But i got the impression there was a formal or informal project for articles on surnames, and you'd probably have a more fruitful discussion its participants. I'd suggest looking at the talk pages of templates and categories that Hamilton is tagged with, and using the histories of articles carrying relevant tags to find recurring usernames and editors who added or refined those tags. Same with the {{Hndis}} tag, and with contributors to relevant sections of WP:MOSDAB's talk page. (Ask me a question if you don't know what i mean or how to do those things.)

[edit] "Thirty-second"
Sometimes I amaze myself with my own stupidity.... For the record, I sincerely thought that "thirty-second" in the "Pride Land" section was vandalism stating the film was only thirty seconds long, as opposed to being the thirty-second animated Disney movie.
