Axel Kahn

Axel Kahn, born in 1944, is a French scientist and geneticist. He is the brother of the journalist Jean-François Kahn. Currently, he is a member of the French National Consultative Ethics Committee.
Kahn is known as the father of French genetics. Although he has discovered things ranging from the structure of DNA to RNA interference, he is also known for his appearances in TV shows, which have got him many decorations and honors. As a civil servant, he was the head of the committee in charge of genetically modified crops for Europe.
