In many campaign settings for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game the Axe of the Dwarvish Lords is a powerful artifact.
The Axe is a short-handled axe backed by a clawed hammer head. Legends say that it was forged by the First King of the dwarves for the honor of the god Moradin.
In the Epic Level Handbook the axe is described slightly differently. The head of the axe appears to be an erupting volcano. The axe is a +6 keen throwing goblinoid bane dwarven waraxe. Any non-dwarf who holds the axe loses some of their vitality, while a dwarf who holds it gains improved darkvision, bonuses to craft checks, and the ability to summon an elder earth elemental.
Axe of the Dwarvish Lords is also the title of a 1999 Dungeons & Dragons adventure module written by Skip Williams.
