Avonwick is a village in the county of Devon in the United Kingdom (UK). It is within the parish of Northuish. The village has rapidly grown in size over the last few years with two developments. Running threw the village is the River Avon. Avon meaning river and wick an old word for village so river village! The village contains one of only two privately owned churches in the whole of the UK, two fine restaurants, one of the oldest lawn tennis clubs in Britain, a garage and a small local post office.
