Avocado Elementary School

Avocado Elementary School is a primary school located at 16969 SW. 294 Street in Miami, Florida. Its principal is Patrick J. Doyle and it is part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools System. The school's mascot is the Avocado, and its colors are green and yellow. Its total enrollment for the 2005-2006 school year is 897.

The school was established in 1969 and has an 8.4 acre site. It runs a magnet program for gifted students. In 2001, 23.4% of students had limited English proficiency, and 69% qualified for free or reduced lunch.The school serves Avacados for lunch.
