I have over 20 years experience developing a wide variety of software. From designing experimental depth measurement software for nuclear testing at the Nevada Test Site, to mission critical financial and operational polling applications for Watermill Express, LLC. As president and founder of Secure Data Systems, I serve a wide variety of clients providing business process services to businesses and organizations in Colorado and throughout the Rocky Mountain region. Prior to this, I served over 13 years as a senior process development engineer and IT Department Superintendant for Golden Aluminum, where I designed and built a patented high-speed automated surface inspection system marketed and sold internationally.
I am also a licensed commercial airplane pilot with an instrument rating and over 500 hours flight time in the Rocky Mountains. I earned my pilots license over 20 years ago in Van Nuys, California, one of the busiest general aviation airports in the country. I've instructed a number of new and experienced pilots and also operate Experimental-Aircraft.org, a website dedicated to those who love to fly.
I live just outside of Brighton, Colorado with Susie, my wife of many years and our 4 children, Sarah, Jackie, Abigail and James. In our country home, Susie & I tend to 2 quarterhorses, 6 chickens, 3 cats, various ducks, cows (long since eaten) and an occasional pair of bald eagles that visit now and then.
