Avilla is a village in Jasper County, Missouri, United States. The population was 137 at the 2000 census.

Avilla is located at 37°11′38″N, 94°7′44″W (37.193821, -94.128991)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 137 people, 53 households, and 41 families residing in the town. The population density was 264.5/km² (680.9/mi²). There were 56 housing units at an average density of 108.1/km² (278.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 98.54% White, and 1.46% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.73% of the population.

There were 53 households out of which 32.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.3% were married couples living together, 9.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.6% were non-families. 17.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 2.88.

In the town the population was spread out with 27.7% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 27.0% from 25 to 44, 28.5% from 45 to 64, and 9.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 117.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.0 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $21,750, and the median income for a family was $25,000. Males had a median income of $27,500 versus $13,750 for females. The per capita income for the town was $11,673. There were 13.3% of families and 18.9% of the population living below the poverty line, including 33.3% of under eighteens and 16.7% of those over 64.
