Aviemore railway station is a railway station serving Aviemore on the Highland Main Line between Perth and Inverness run by First ScotRail. It is also the southern terminus of the Strathspey Steam Railway.
The station building opens onto Grampian Road which lies to the west of the railway. The two tracks of the Highland Main Line separate the canopied island platform from the building but they are joined by a footbridge. Strathspey trains use the far (east) face of the island platform. The junction with the main line is to the south of the station. As part of the 1990s restoration which led to the Strathspey Railway being allowed to use the station, all the buildings on the island platform were re-built for the use of the Strathspey Railway, having been demolished on safety grounds in the early 1970s. They house a Ticket Hall, Booking Office, Shop, Waiting Rooms (with historical displays), Toilets and staff offices. Parking is on the east side of the station. Road access is from the Rothiemurchus road in the south of the village. Access to the station is via a foot-crossing of the rarely used junction spur.
Services run throughout the tourist season.
