Automatic Writing is an album by Ataxia released in 2004. Ataxia consists of John Frusciante, Josh Klinghoffer (Bicycle Thief) and Joe Lally (Fugazi). The band recorded 10 songs, approximately 90 minutes of music, and played two live shows over a period of 4 days. A second Ataxia album with tracks from the rest of the session was recorded and will be released as soon as Frusciante and Klinghoffer allow it.
