AutoCycle Union

The AutoCycle Union (ACU Motorcycling GB) is governing body of motorcycle sport in Great Britain (not Northern Ireland, which is governed by the MCUI, but including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man). Founded in 1903 and acquiring it current name in 1907 its aim was to develop motorsport through clubs and arrange touring facilities for members. In 1904 it was a founding member of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme.
The 1911 Isle of Man TT was the first TT races to be organised by the AutoCycle Union.
The sports covered in addition to non competitive motorcycling interests are; Grass Track (Track Racing), Enduro, Moto Cross, Road racing, Speedway and Trials.
