From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Since 1986, Autech (オーテック Ōtekku?), i.e. Autech Japan, Inc. (株式会社オーテックジャパン Kabushiki-gaisha Ōtekku Japan?), is a pro tuner of Nissan cars but sells the cars through Nissan dealers. Some famous cars produced by Autech ("Autech Version") are the Skyline GT-R Autech Version 40th Anniversary (R33 4DOOR), Silvia Autech Version K's MF-T (S14), Pulsar Serie 3DOOR Hatchback VZ-R N1 version II (JN15) and the Stagea Autech Version 260RS (WC34). The 260RS had a Skyline GT-R (R33) tuned motor and drivetrain. Autech Japan also tune GT500 class Nismo racing car engines (Skyline GT-R R34 and Fairlady Z Z33) competing in the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (recently renamed Super GT) against famous tuners such as BMW Motorsport, Mugen and Toyota Techno Craft.

Note: Autech also used to be a company in Columbus, Ohio that made non-contact measuring equipment in the 70's and 80's. I believed it closed in 1986
