I think it would be worth adding something about the substrate languages of Kriol (Roper River Kriol perhaps should have its own page as there is plenty of research on that particular dialect of Kriol). Also I think it would be good to add something about the phonology, grammatical structure etc.- the usual linguistic profile of the language.

Also where do the numbers come from for the amount of Kriol speakers? The Katherine Regional Aboriginal Language Centre sets it at well below 30,000 in the Katherine region- is this number including Western Australian creole?Snicho5 19:40, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
