[edit] Cycling Tragedy in Germany
On Monday 18 July 2005 six women cyclists in the Institute's Women's Road Cycling program were hit by a car near Leipzig, Germany while on a training ride for the Tour of Thuringen. Amy Gillett (born 9 January 1976) died at the scene, with Alexis Rhodes and Louise Yaxley critically injured. Other members of the team injured included Lorian Graham, Katie Brown and Kate Nicholls. The accident happened when the 18-year-old female driver of the car lost control and swerved onto the wrong side of the road thus hitting the cyclists head on. The driver had to be cut free and was also listed in a serious condition.

[edit] Football (soccer)
I think that the football program should keep a seperate page as there are a some interesting facts that are mentioned there that wouldn't really belong here (primarily to do with the fact that they recently (2005) entered a team into the highest state league in NSW, and also to do with Croatia poaching AIS players forcing the introduction of contracts which state that if an AIS player ends up representing another country (not Australia) at international level then they must repay the cost of the taxpayer funded scholarship).
