Description

The map shows the Shelf areas of Sunda and Sahul, which were largely above sea level during the last ice age, as well as the borders of the zoogeographic region Wallacea (red) which is transitional between the Oriental region and the Australian region. Within it, Wallace's Line is depicted in bold red (left) between Sulawesi and Kalimantan (Borneo).
