Australia has a number of gaming conventions throughout the year, many of which attract interstate visitors. Some major conventions attract international visitors. Most conventions take place on a public holiday weekend.

The major conventions on the Australian roleplaying calendar are Arcanacon, Conquest, Phenomenon and Sydcon. The Victorian roleplaying conventions receive assistance from Random Inc in the form of interest-free loans and public liability insurance. (Need to clarify what assistance, if any, provided to Conquest.)
