The Australian Centre For Contemporary Art (ACCA) is a contemporary art gallery in Melbourne, Australia. The gallery is located in the arts precinct in the inner suburb of Southbank on Sturt Street. The ACCA is located in a distinctive brown metallic building designed by Melbourne architects Wood Marsh. The building has won Australian architectural awards for its monolithic sculptural form and has been compared to a Sandcrawler from Star Wars. The nearby Malthouse Theatre, part of the same precinct, shares a courtyard and is a venue for live contemporary performing arts venue. (Combined, the complex goes by the name of Ngargee, which is a Boonerwrung - that is, original local Koori tribe and guardians - word describing gathering for celebration.)
