The AusCERT (Australian Computer Emergency Response Team) [1] is the national Computer Emergency Response Team for Australia and a leading CERT in the Asia/Pacific region. As a trusted Australian contact within a worldwide network of computer security experts, they provide computer incident prevention, response and mitigation strategies for members, a national alerting service and an incident reporting scheme.

The AusCERT conferences [2] (starting in 2002) have become an important event in the Australian IT Security scene. Information at these conferences range from technical to managerial, covering a broad range of topics. Guest speakers are usually among the leading experts of IT Security in the world.
