Dating from the 15th century, the Aurora consurgens' is a Medieval alchemical treatise. The Aurora consurgens is sometimes attributed to Thomas Aquinas. Unusually, the manuscript contains thirty-eight fine watercolour drawings. Illuminated versions of the Aurora consurgens can be found in:
