A small town in Bracken County on the Ohio River. It has a small public school system--one school. Its most famous graduate being, actor George Clooney. He played baseball at Augusta High School. George's aunt Rosemary maintained a home here until her death.

At one time Augusta had a small Methodist college. It is now known for it colorful scenery, antique shops and bed and breakfasts.
