From the USS Augusta (CA-31) aviation unit, on a barge alongside USS Heron (AM-10) at Subic Bay, Philippines, circa 1933-1934]. Partially visible at the extreme right is a Martin T4M-1 torpedo plane being serviced on board Heron. Larger ships in the background are USS Canopus (AS-9), with submarines alongside (at left); and USS Black Hawk (AD-9), with destroyers alongside (right center).
