Augusta Jane Evans

Augusta Jane Evans (Wilson) (1835-1909) was an American novelist, born in Columbus, Georgia.
From 1841 onwards, she lived in Mobile, Alabama She opened a private hospital for Confederate wounded during the American Civil War.
