Auf der Maur is the debut album from ex-Hole and The Smashing Pumpkins bassist Melissa Auf der Maur.

Formed following her successful stints as bassist for both Hole and The Smashing Pumpkins, Melissa Auf Der Maur's solo project Auf der Maur released their self-titled debut album after Melissa's own career of more than a decade in the music industry. The tracks were written over a 10 year period, throughout her time in Tinker, Hole and The Smashing Pumpkins. Featuring prolific guest artists from former bandmates Eric Erlandson (Hole) and James Iha (The Smashing Pumpkins) to Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and ex-Helmet drummer John Stanier, Auf der Maur is notable for deviating from the punk rock influences of Hole, giving a more lyrically experimental and progressive sound. Following a successful UK tour, the singles "Followed the Waves" and "Real A Lie" both broke into the UK Top 40. Melissa Auf Der Maur is currently in the studio writing and recording her second album.
