Auer (German) or Ora (Italian) is a comune (municipality) in South Tyrol in the Italian region Trentino-South Tyrol, located about 35 km northeast of Trento and about 15 km south of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,334 and an area of 11.8 km².[1]

Auer borders the following municipalities: Aldein, Bronzolo, Montan, Termeno sulla strada del vino, and Vadena.
