[edit] Page move
Excuse me, but I know how to move a page. The page that I moved to already existed and had its OWN history, which I did not want to delete. Thank you. Páll 08:01, 10 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for un-moving the page - though I support PZFUN's move, it was done without consensus on the Talk page. A vote has started on the renaming now. Wizzy 08:29, Mar 10, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome
Let me be the first to welcome you to Wikipedia! Seems you have found a lot on your own - let me point out WP:SIGN, a good summary page of what is going on in the WP world .. Wizzy 08:35, Mar 10, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Morbid warning template
The template was deleted, but it appears that Abu Ghraib torture and prisoner abuse still works because a more general purpose version that was created at Template:Photo warning by User:Flamurai a few weeks ago. I'm a little surprised that such a narrow vote was called for delete, but I think the new template is even better. Cool Hand Luke 03:24, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)
[edit] RfA thanks
Thank you for the vote at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Henrygb2. It has made my week. --Henrygb 01:56, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Autofellatio 2.jpg IfD Vote comment
In reference to your message to me:
- You said: "Considering the support Image:Charlotterossnypdblue.jpg is getting--a picture which has no illustrative value at all, and appeals only to prurience--it's clear to me that homophobia is behind a great deal of these votes." Now that it turns out that it only got 5 votes to keep and was deleted, are you prepared to withdraw that personal attack? --Audiovideo 01:40, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)
At the time I made that comment the mix of votes for the image was different. However, in any case, I didn't intend it as a personal attack: a personal attack is just that--personal, and I wouldn't presume to know any individual's motivation for voting beyond what they write in the vote discussion. However, yes, I do believe homophobia is behind some of the votes to delete on the autofellatio image ("A great deal" may be overstating the case). If you in any way thought I was painting you with that brush, please accept my sincere apology. Demi T/C 01:52, 2005 Apr 9 (UTC)
[edit] Pronouns
Thanks for your comments. No, I don't have a problem with pronouns - as you imply, I have continued their use after the first naming at the beginning of a paragraph. I guess I simply prefer to restate the subject at the beginning of the paragraph and use a consistent style. I appreciate that the surname alone can seem aggressive to some people, but I felt this is better than Mr X, Firstname Lastname or the other variations that I have come across. I'll bear your point in mind and try not to be quite so prescriptive - the main point of my edits has been to reflect that many are no longer MPs.
Thanks again. Mtiedemann 23:48, 12 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] SuperDude comment
I truly cannot thank you enough for the kind words. I admit to feeling as if I'd taken part in a lynching once I found out about that fellow's condition. It was frustrating to think that I was trying to help a troll! I couldn't be happier to learn this wasn't the case and that the request for comment had a very positive outcome. Great user name, BTW! I studied video production in college and I still enjoy getting behind a Betacam or some such lovely feelie. :^P Anyway, do take care and thank you again. I'll be incommunicado over the weekend so perhaps we'll chat next week. - Lucky 6.9 04:48, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Template:Counties of Ireland
I have reverted your edit at Template:Counties of Ireland as this intended for Counties of Ireland and not Districts of Northern Ireland - their is a significant difference that is easly overlooked. Djegan 14:09, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Just a thought
This may not satisfy all of your needs, but if you don't show some support, we're not likely to get even this much. — Xiong熊talk* 10:46, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Babel
Could you consider adding this template to your userpage? It is very helpful in case translators are needed and such.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 15:13, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Request for your vote
I saw that you voted against the adminship of William M Connolly. I reviewed said candidate's actions on the Cold Fusion article and determined them to indeed be very biased and uncivil. I haven't looked at WC's actions on the aetherometry article yet though. The vast support for WC is truly disturbing. I am a candidate for the arbitration council. William M Connolly is precisely the type of biased and uncivil person that I would fight against.
I request that you review my candidate statement and questions at: Wikipedia:Arbitration_Committee_Elections_January_2006/Vote/LawAndOrder , and consider voting for me, though only if you have suffrage for arbitration committee elections (registered before 9/30/2005, and have over 150 edits before 1/9/2006). The votes are vastly against me, so I will not win, but I have very few support votes, so voting for me will at least show that I (who is on your side) am less of a pariah. [edit] GWU
Hello, I'm trying (again) to get The George Washington University moved to George Washington University. Since you weighed in on this when it came up last year, I thought you might like to weigh in again. john k 23:30, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
