Audley Freed
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Audley Freed was the guitarist and chief songwriter for the North Carolina based rock and roll band Cry of Love (band). Audley disbanded Cry of Love in the late 1990's and joined The Black Crowes, replacing longtime guitarist Marc Ford. When the Black Crowes took an extended break after the Lions album, Audley Freed toured with Chris Robinson's band New Earth Mud after Paul Stacey left the tour. Audley can frequently be seen on stage as a guest at various concerts around Nashville and the Southeast. A friend of jam rockers Gov't Mule, he often appears at their shows as well as the annual Warren Haynes Christmas Jam in Asheville, North Carolina. Audley also plays guitar as part of the Dixie Chick's backing band on the Accidents & Accusations Tour in the fall of 2006.
