Audiobaba

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Audiobaba is a beta-stage music recommendation and playlist generator plug-in for iTunes and Windows Media Player that, unlike most music recommendation systems, does not utilize centralized collaborative filtering algorithms.

Creators of the plug-in state that Audiobaba takes advantage of its patented Triple Play Analysis to generate unique, automated playlists directly into a user's preferred media player; make music recommendations (currently culled exclusively from the Nettwerk Records catalog); and offer the AutoGJ, a "non-random answer to random shuffle" that claims to learn and adapt to a user's listening preferences. Triple Play Analysis is said to incorporate the underlying acoustic wave patterns of music, what the software learns through observation of listening habits, and various undisclosed and subjective "Human Factors."

Currently, Audiobaba cannot process some copy protected file formats, including songs purchased from the iTunes Music Store.
