ATV (Austria)

ATV is a television station in Austria owned by KommAustria, a communications company directly subordinate to the Federal Chancellor.

Austria enacted legislation permitting and regulating private-owned television stations in 2001. KommAustria was opened for broadcasting on February 1, 2002. ATV was the first private television station in Austria, and went on the air on June 1, 2003.
