If you've seen .hack//Roots, the first thing you would realize is her PC. Right after Haseo defeats Bordeoux and her PK gang, Haseo is confronted by Sakaki. Sakaki lectures Haseo that using brute force to stop PK is wrong and that PKK (Player Killer Killer) are no different than PKs themselves. Haseo merely slides the lecture away and leaves only to be lectured by Atoli, who was in conversation with Sakaki before the confrontation. Haseo has realized that Atoli's PC is exactly the same as Shino's. However much alike they look, Atoli is completely opposite of Shino. Atoli is less tolerant and blinded into the positive things in the world, refusing to accept anything else. Atoli was living in a fantasy until Haseo made her realize that her philosophy in playing The World was wrong in both online games and in life. Atoli stays out of the story until Haseo starts looking for a Harvest Cleric for the Battle Arena. Atoli, knowing it was a trap from a tip-off from Bo, went for help from Sakaki. At the end of the area and the cutscenes, Atoli joins Canard to the Battle Arenas. Atoli's role continues to stay as a main priority as she is very useful in the Battle Arena. Atoli isn't the brightest of all people and is very slow witted. Despite Haseo's attitude, Atoli maintained a bond with Haseo to keep pleasing him and helping him find Tri-Edge. Atoli holds Sakaki as a role model of some sort and talks of him fondly. However, Sakaki only uses her Avatar to fight Haseo in Volume 2.
