Hi,

Most of your edits appear to fall astray of WP:NOT policy (specifically, crystal ball -- the Atlas Games have never occurred -- and advertisement) and will likely be considered vandalism. Lomn 16:12:05, 2005-08-11 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism?

I do not see how an event that has the Government of Greece supporting it can be considered a crystal ball issue. The event has been reported on March 16, 2005 in the New York Post, The Hellenic Times, and The National Herald. The event has also been reported in many greek newspapers in Greece. I would like to speak to someone about this because after reading the post guidelines, it is clear that this article is in compliance.

Given that, you should cite your sources in the main article, as Google shows a board game manufacturer (thus it's not easily verified by others).
Regardless, adding linkbacks to every applicable sport is likely to draw criticism, as the games certainly aren't yet noteable in terms of the individual events. For example, I expect that no aspiring cheerleader is training for the Atlas Games. Alternately, take Basketball: it's not sufficiently prevalent to rate the Olympic Games category, where it's already an established event. Do you see where the advertising appearance comes in by already categorizing it under Atlas?
Finally, just having a username of "Atlasgames" in and of itself gives doubt as to the non-bias of your Games-related edits. It's preferable to editing anonymously, but it also evokes the appearance of a corporate shill.
As for speaking to someone -- no need until action is taken (which I'm not doing currently). In general, though, addressing issues on the article talk page (for instance, Archery, where the category has already been removed) is the appropriate first step.

It's generally considered bad wikiquette to delete material - especially anything critical - from your talk page. It goes against the open spirit of Wikipedia, and gives the impression that you have something to hide! I'm sure that wasn't your intention, so I've restored it for now. --OpenToppedBus - Talk to the driver 08:42, August 12, 2005 (UTC)
