[edit] Atlas Service Corps

Apparently, this page was speedily deleted as a copyright violation: check http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ALog&type=delete&user=&page=Atlas+Service+Corps to see the explanation. Therefore, it is unlikely that the page will be undeleted. You would have to prove it wasn't a copyright violation to have it undeleted. --ais523 14:50, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

I'm not sure what the content of the deleted page was (because it's been deleted). My guess is that it's too similar to what the company website says on http://www.scottbeale.com/asc/about.htm (which is marked as copyright; and anyway, text is copyrighted by default). If you are affilated with the company and want the information to be includable in Wikipedia, you will have to explicitly release the content under a GFDL-compatible licence; most companies aren't willing to do this. You could always rewrite the content in your own words.
Note also that Wikipedia's editors tend to take a dim view of articles on companies that have not been established to be notable. The company's website doesn't register on Alexa, and "Atlas Service Corps" returns only 202 hits on Google as of this timestamp. It's likely that the article would be deleted even if it didn't contain copyright violation; see WP:CORP and WP:SPAM for some relevant guidelines.
Lastly, are you sure you want an article about your company (I'm assuming you're affilated with it, based on your username) in Wikipedia? It doesn't help with advertising; Wikipedia articles have to be written in a neutral point of view and often end up containing critisism of a company. (Remember, they can be edited by anyone.) This can become a real problem for a company if the Wikipedia article ends up outranking the company website on Google.
So, think carefully about copyright, show notability, and think about whether you really need an article at all before writing another article. There is a process available for undeleting the article if you can prove that it's notable and not a copyright violation; contact me again if you need help. --ais523 15:29, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
