Athabasca-Redwater

Athabasca-Redwater is a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada.
The district was created in 2004 out of a large portion of Barhead-Westlock and Athabasca-Wabasca in the north as well as a portion of Redwater on the eastern side.
The district has three major towns Bon Accord, Alberta, Redwater, Alberta and Athabasca, Alberta The district is in north central Alberta just north of Edmonton. The district itself extends over 200km north of Edmonton.
Lesser Slave Lake borders to the north and west. Lac La Biche-St. Paul borders to the north and east. Fort Saskatchewan-Vegreville, Edmonton Manning, Edmonton Castle Downs, Edmonton Decore and St. Albert border to the south. Barrhead-Morinville-Westlock and Spruce Grove-Sturgeon-St. Albert border to the east.

On November 19th 2004 a Student Vote was conducted at participating Alberta schools of all types, to parallel the 2004 Election results and to educate students about the electoral process. The vote was conducted in 80 of the 83 ridings.
