Asymptote (architects)

The founders of Asymptote Lise-Anne Couture and Hani Rashid are both Canadians living and working in New York city since 1989. Asymptote has concentrated in building design, art installations, 3-dimensional computer generated environments as well as product design and urban design with various buildings and a number of experimental environments realized. The Virtual Guggenheim Museum and the 3DTF Virtual Stock Exchange for the NYSE are two of Asymptote's most well known virtual reality environments, other projects of note that incorporate architecture and technology include the The Advanced Trading Floor for the NYSE and the Carlos Miele flagship store both in New York city as well as the Hydrapier Pavilion completed in 2002 in the Netherlands.
