I am Paul Segal, a recent graphic design student living in New York City and seeking a position in graphic design, web page design/maintenance, digital graphics production, image retouching, anything related to those fields and/or requiring the same skill set.
My (barely there, at present) website is at Recognizer.net
My hobbies include shooting photos as I walk around the city, visual arts in general, and collecting lots of things: obsolete/useless devices; toy robots, weird vintage toys, and bootleg toys; audio and video media in general, particularly such as records or videotapes that are unlikely to be reissued on a newer format, or obscure oddities on vinyl; science fiction, cartooning and anime related art books; Japanese hobby magazines; old manuals, catalogs or packaging from model kits or toys with notable sci-fi mechanical design art; advertising or promotional materials with an interesting form or notable graphic design; minicomics/indie comics, zines and illustration cards; obscure old books, often notable just for the novelty of a title or cover design; ugly or tacky clothing that is nonetheless appealing enough to be wearable; vintage buttons, pins, and enameled jewelry; owl statues; and anything that is "awesomely bad".
I could probably contribute a lot of visual media and an amount of hard information on some of these subjects to Wikipedia; but I'm not quite sure where it's needed. I could singlehandedly clean up a lot of problematic info relating to some certain giant-robot anime series, but as those pages seem overrun with users not necessarily concerned with accuracy, I'd probably have to convince many of them to take a lighter touch when integrating dubious information.
